Isaiah 60:1-3 The Light in Our Darkness - Sermon Write

  1. g of Christ into the world - when He came to meet us in our humanity. As we reflect on the incredible love of God in sending His Son to us, we will receive fresh hope in the goodness of God's plan for our lives! Acts 19: Extraordinary Power - 12/09/2018. Gus Miragias
  2. Eberhard Arnold's Salt and Light: Living the Sermon on the Mount is, next to Bonhoeffer's Discipleship, one of the two most significant theological expositions of Jesus' Sermon on the Mount. Though less popular in contemporary Christianity, Arnold is a clear, prophetic voice for Jesus' Kingdom
  3. Light and Darkness, Sin and Forgiveness. 5 This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. 6 If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth
  4. Sermon: Salt and Light It seems to me that as Christians, we are called to enact a tremendous balancing act as we go through life. If we go too far in either direction, we risk doing more harm than good

~ R. Kent Hughes, The Sermon on the Mount: The Message of the Kingdom We are to expose such deeds by the light that our own lives shine on the moral darkness around us. ~ Sinclair Ferguson, The Sermon on the Mount Just by being a Christian he shows a different type of life, and that immediately reveals the true character and nature of the other way of living Kwon argues that adjusting your length to your audience is a requirement of love: a good sermon will also be preached in light of cultural oratory norms, which is not to say captive to cultural norms (sound bite preaching), nor do I mean this in substitute of homiletical nutrition (see above). It's simply a matter of loving our actual. Featuring a sermon puts it on the front page of the site and is the most effective way to bring this sermon to the attention of thousands including all mobile platforms + newsletter.
